Our range of plumbing repair services is very comprehensive.  It includes the installation, maintenance, repairs. Most plumbing problems tend to be very apparent. For example, leaky faucets constantly drip, heating and air conditioning systems stop working, as do garbage disposals and water heaters.  However, one of the most common plumbing problems is not merely inconvenient or annoying, but potentially disastrous.

Clogged Sewer Lines

Sewer lines are buried underground, not only out of sight but, for the majority of homeowners, also out of mind.  As long as the waste water is flowing freely and the pipes are in good repair, very few homeowners give any thought to these unseen sewer lines until the day they intrude on one's life in, usually, a very disagreeable way.

Blocked, or even partially blocked, sewer lines can not only give you a sudden nasty surprise but can potentially cause enormous physical damage in your home or business establishment. To say nothing of the fact that the repairs can take a large chunk out of your bank account. While it is true that most homeowners can clear small blockages in their toilets or sinks, the deeper, more serious, clogs have to be tackled by a professional.

However, clogged sewage pipes are also among one of the most preventable plumbing problems. That is, if you have your sewer lines inspected and cleaned on a regular basis, you can avoid a future plumbing repair.

What Causes Clogged Sewage Pipes

One of the most common problems is the same one that faces all of us, age. Older pipes tend to deteriorate, especially if they are made of cast iron or clay. Another very widespread problem is the infiltration of tree roots into the pipes. Because trees seek water, the smallest roots can and will find even the smallest breach in the pipe, including loose joints and tiny holes.  Once inside, the proliferate and grow, eventually filling the pipe and causing a 'log-jam' of other debris.

Note: The normal pattern of freezes and thaws over the year can also cause pipes to crack.

Never Let The Problem Get Out of Hand

Do not wait until your drains are completely blocked, or raw sewage begins to appear in your toilet. Call us as soon as you notice that your drains are beginning to discharge more slowly, your toilet makes 'gurgling' noises, or there is a foul smell in your yard or basement. It is very likely that, given the wide variety of tools and equipment at our disposal, we can save you from grievous and very expensive damage like a flooded basement, or damaged hardwood floors.

Running a camera through the line allows us to identify the location and nature of the clog. The added benefit being that a visual inspection also helps identify other problems such as broken or cracked lines. Be assured that, before we begin working, we will discuss the problem and whatever service many be necessary to clear the clog and allow you to get back to you normal life as soon as possible.
